I was born in Auckland but my family and I moved to Northern Ireland when I was 9 years old. I completed my high school education in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I then went on to study a BSc in chemistry at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, before completing my Doctor of Medicine at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia.
Following graduation, I undertook my junior doctor training in hospitals across Southern Adelaide, where I gained a broad clinical experience in various specialties. In 2016, I began my general practice training in rural South Australia. Over two and a half years, I developed extensive experience managing complex and diverse patient presentations in a rural setting. I was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.
I then spent two years working on the Gold Coast, where I enjoyed both the professional opportunities and the lifestyle. After that, I moved to Waiuku, where I worked for four years caring for a large number of elderly patients and those with complex medical needs.
Two years ago, I relocated to New Lynn with my wife, and I am now excited to be joining the team at Green Bay Medical Centre.
Outside of work, I have a strong interest in aviation and hold a private pilot licence. I am also passionate about fitness and regularly train at the gym, including participating in weightlifting competitions. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, travelling with my wife, and spending time at home with our two cats.
